We believe in high professional standards in both performance and production.  We want to make the theatre experience as accessible as possible to as many people of the Illawarra as possible, and we love the challenge of using non-traditional spaces to connect people with cultural experiences.

The Wollongong area is home to many professionally trained performing artists and technicians, both emerging and established.  Wollongong Theatre Company aims to give those artists the opportunity to produce their work independently within their local community.

Integral to this aim is our desire to develop new audiences by breaking down barriers to people accessing professional productions, and offering theatrical experiences that add something new to the cultural life of Wollongong.
